recommendation for temp controller

Hey all, I'm shopping for a chest freezer to use as a fermenter/keezer. I'm hoping to be spared making a bad purchase and want to know of any suggestions for a temp controller. I am wanting to use the keezer to place my fermenting brews, and then later use at a lower temp for serving.

Since this will be in my garage, down here in west palm beach the ambient temp is rather warm.

The STC 1000 is a popular temp controller for less than $20 bucks if you like DIY as assembly is required.

I would consider a refrigerator over a freezer, as a freezer will sweat inside in a humid climate and get moldy....just my experience.
