Recommend an Extract RIS worth trying?

Will you recommend the best extract recipe (kit or otherwise... Brew and Grow is 5 minutes away) for a big coat your glass RIS?
I'm looking for things you've made and found worthwhile.
I won't be able to go grain until spring at the earliest, but I'd like to try making something big, reasonably high abv to give to friends next Holiday season.
It seems to me that a home brew would be the best possible Christmas card.

Look up the old Rasputin clone that byo did. It is extract and the beer is good. I haven't made it yet but scheduled to this week.

I really liked Austin Homebrews Yeti clone - Great Divides RIS. They also offer you the option to buy it as a partial mash, which if I were to do it again, I would.

Awesome beer.
