Hi all,

I am going to brew this weekend, and I would like to use the hops I got from my first year plants. Here is what I ended up with:

-7.75 oz. dried Cascades
-0.5 oz. dried Magnums (yeah, that's it!)

So, I was thinking of doing an APA/IPA using Magnums for bittering (the little bit I got plus extra from the LHBS if they have any), and then the Cascades for flavor/aroma.

Can anyone help me formulate an extract w/specialty grains recipe meeting these requirements? I do full boils, BTW, and I want to make a 5-gallon batch. Thanks for any help!

up here in Seattle is Manny's Pale Ale. Uses .5 Magnum and 2 x.5 cascade additions. Makes an awesome 39 IBU-ish ale. I've seen the recipe on here...I'll search for it now.
Back soon :mug:

My Little Wing pale ale uses those hops. I use .75oz of Magnum, but you could add some additional Cascades for bittering. Swap out the 2-row for about 6.5lbs of DME, and that should get you in the ballpark.

Of course with homegrown hops, you're pretty much guessing on the IBUs.
