Hey guys, I am looking for some input on a recipe I have been throwing together. I don't have my BeerSmith file at work so here goes from memory:

4 lbs American 2-row
4 lbs White Wheat malt
.5 lbs Honey Malt
.5 lbs Flaked wheat

Mash @ 150F for 1 hr
Fly sparge at 168F

.25 oz Sorachi Ace @ 60
.25 oz Sorachi Ace @ 20
.50 oz Saphir @ 20
1 oz crushed Coriander seed at 15
.25 oz Sorachi Ace @ 8
.50 oz Saphir @ 8

Ferment at 68-70 with WLP001

Im looking for a light, lemony wheat ale with some sweetness from the honey malt. Don't know the SG offhand, but the ABV was predicted around 5.2%.

Any thoughts? Thanks!!
JZ

Decided to change this up a little, brewing it tomorrow! Hoping the Sorachi and Saphir will give the citrus character I want.

Looks good to me. If you're looking to have something flavorful, yet refreshing, I think you could get there with this recipe.

It wasn't bad. If I brewed it again, I think I would drop the honey malt to 1/4 lb and use a cleaner American yeast. I don't feel like I got any of the citrus flavors I was expecting from the hops; I might add a little coriander to the boil as well.

Enjoy!
