Rauchbier (smoked) Vinegar

Anyone ever try making raunchier vinegar? I am brewing a batch now and I was thinking that it might be worth while to try it out. I feel like the smokiness would lend itself very well to a lot of foods. Zymurgy had an article recently about making malt vinegar too.

I think he means making the rauchbier first, then introducing the mother of vinegar to it.
