Anybody ever pitched a dry yeast packet that had expired? Does it still work or will it lead to problems?

I have one Mutons and one Doric, the Doric is expired. I've read lots of recommendations that if you're going to use Munton's you should use two packets. Since I only have one, I'm thinking about pitching both the Muntons and the expired Doric. Whaddya think?

Just make a starter to be certain.

Even though you don't normally need to with dry...if you are ever in doubt, make a starer.
