"man, some of you guys are way too wrapped up in finding things you don't like about beer"

I also said something like “I agree a lot of this **** has gone too far.” This is that, imo.

...but it’s not two hearted, so I could see how you think this is similar to hazy ipas, or something

I like how we went from this:

While I didn't love this beer (to be fair it was purchased along with a 4 pack of Fader Pils from Half Acre), I found this to be quite entertaining.

To this:

In three posts.

Has the Stone Scorpion Bowl IPA this evening at a local spot, and I have to say it is probably the best Stone hop forward beer I've had in 3+ years.

I guess there is no way to tell if the batch you drank came from the west coast or virginia location? I drank a bottle of this over the weekend that was bottled 9 days prior in VA. I only bought it because it was $4 for a bomber, quite fresh and I read at least 2-3 other people proclaim this beer’s glory so I was excited to try it.

I ended up drain pouring it. It had a real nice nose to it but it tasted like over-steeped tea.

I cant wait to trythis when it finally arrives here 2 months after release.
This sometimes happens in the Bay Area with FW. Don't know if they'll sit at distributors or what or if it's still a thing, but I remember it was either Stickee Monkee or Helldorado, people in PA based beer group I'm in were posting pics like three weeks before we saw it just a few hours north of the ******* brewery.

Ithaca does the same ****, yes I still buy Flower Power, sends out of state first then local distro. So weird and lame.

It's ridiculous to happen to us in Mass but to have that happen a few hours maybe of where they are based is just insanity. It's one of the reasons their stuff just turds up the shelves here now for the most part.

I don't think any relatively large brewery has had more consistent issues with distribution of fresh beer than Firestone Walker. I love Union Jack but I refuse to buy cans or bottles that are two-plus months old and have almost certainly not been refrigerated.

I grab a proprietors series offering or two if I see them and some velvet or mocha merlin once in a while, one of the leo vs ursus cans because the price kind of sucks and one can of each new propagator and that's about it. Fuckers never sent # 8 here for some reason though.

First thought: ******* why? That sounds like an awesome stout, but a really terrible gose.

Second thought: J Wakefield did a Sour Orange Creamsicle that shouldn't have worked but really did. Maybe this isn't a totally insane idea...

Third thought:...no, this definitely shouldn't exist.

beer is ******* dead. Bought a 12 pack of High Life last week. Probably just drink that from now on.

About a year and a half ago a buddy of mine, who got me into craft beer, was lamenting that ABinBev was buying up all the breweries and trying to destroy craft beer. Now he is sick of all these breweries and their hype line beers with all sorts of adjuncts etc. He now will purposely drink Bud Heavy because he's tired of craft beer.

Life came at him fast.

their shtick is to - usually - make super high ABV, messed up stuff. they're constantly the butt of jokes here in VA

Their descriptions and "ad copy" for their beer were so annoying at the beginning, that I decided to never search out their stuff (see B/A/Y/S). I was eventually at a place that had a Guava Gose on tap. It tasted like a can of overly sweet guava concentrate. I couldn't finish it. But that's what the kids are drinkin' nowadays, I guess.

I was hanging with some friends when a “beer blogger” said, “you want to taste a beer you’re never gonna be able to try?”
“Sure man”
Pulls out some Androit 14% four x IPA, in a wooden box, in a corked and caged 375.
I **** you not, the beer tasted like diesel fuel dry hopped with Columbus. The dude that brought the bottle got kind of mad when I said “this is pretty gross man.”

You just don't appreciate qipas.
