So I did my first brew, a red ale from a kit and hit my OG and FG dead on. I pulled a sample as the batch was really settling down in activity. It tasted great and I was getting one release a minute so I decided to transfer to a sanitized secondary car boy. Since the. I had just one day of bubbling (slowo) and now nothing for the past three days. Should I prime and bottle?

First you need to do a hydrometer reading and make sure the numbers are the same each day. That way you know it is done fermenting.

I let mine sit in the primary for 3-4 weeks then bottle. The more conditioning the better.

Thanks. The recipe didn't call for a secondary but my brother in law recommended it as it also helps clear the brew up as well, or so he says. I know I should wait but I really want to start drinking this stuff and I can be impatient some times. I know good things come to those who wait but I am really thirsty to try my own brew. I will let it go and maybe bottle this weekend.

I figured bottle and let it sit for 3 weeks before popping one so four weeks out at best. I think I will try and go another 10 days before bottling.
