I'm looking into getting some of the polysulfone quick disconnects for my system and was wondering if there's a convention for which end the male connector goes on and which end the female connectors go on. The female ends are more expensive. On my system, it would be cheaper to put the female ends on the MLT and the HLT/Kettle then put the male ends on the hoses. Just wanted to see what others out there are doing... so:
1) male on hoses, female ends on equipment?
2) female ends on hoses, male ends on equipment?

I put the males on the kettles/ equipment then females on the hoses. The main reason I did that was because I used PFD couplings and the female has a hose barb built right onto it.

I am going to use set up #2 with my SS cam locks that got delivered yesterday. Females on hoses, males on equip.
