Quick disconnect compatibility

If I get some female quick disconnects from Northern Brewer, would they be compatible with male QD's from..say..Midwest supplies?

Are they the same brand, are they the same size? Most quick connects are pretty generic. I am curious though, what are you putting the QD's on?

Might pull trigger on northern brewers pump deal that includes quick disconnects. But then I'll need to get some male ends for my hoses, and more female ends for kettles. I'm sure I can find cheaper pieces online but fear the compatibility issue. For example, bargain fittings makes it clear theirs are not compatible.

From what I have gathered , "quick disconnects" will restrict your flow in this application, vs. the use of "camloc" fittings.

Yes, using the latter, you will not get the "dry break" feature of a Q D.

The quick disconnects from NB and MW will work together, I have personally done it.

Your right. That's better plus it's camlock which is what I already have on kettle. Thanks!
