hey all,
today i'm bottling my first batch and looking towards starting to brew the next. right now i have a glass top range and dont really want to use that to brew. I've seen a lot of talk about electric heat sticks and plans to modify or make a solution. I'm wondering what people think of using a cadco LKR 220. for brewing 5 gallon batches it seems like it would work fine.

I should mention, my house is setup with a 220 line in the basement for laundry so i'm figuring i will just use that outlet.
thanks!

2000W wont boil probably, but you can heat water on it. It will just take a bit.

I am concerned about the fact that is says it handles pots up to 15 quarts... that is small.

Small wattage, small capacity, and almost $200? You'd be better off installing an element in the kettle (3500W) and plugging it into the wall for $30.
