I've only used a quarter campden tablet to treat my water in the past. For tomorrows brew I am going to treat it according to the values I got from BS3 to match a pale ale profile.

In addition to my campden addition, I'll be adding:
  • Calcium chloride
  • Gypsum
  • Epsom
  • Chalk
I typically add the campden tablet to the water the night before when I prep a few things for brew day. Can I add the above at that time or should I do it before/while heating up my strike water. I am BIAB. Here is the water section of my recipe fwiw:

Most of your chalk won't dissolve, so it will merely drop out and accomplish nothing. I'm amazed that your software is not aware of this.

Interesting. That is good to know. How about adding the rest of the additions the night before. Any benefit or just wait until I start heating the kettle?
