Question about Pumpkin Ale

I'm planning on making a recipes from the website above and towards the end it says "left bag of pumpkin mix in primary". Do they just mean move the grain bag right from the boiler to the primary? I've always been nervous about having anything I haven't sanitized and cleaned into the primary out of fear of infection.

If you're boiling the bag of pumpkin mix, then you don't need to worry about it.

Transfer it with the wort. It may splash and aerate a little.
