Will light affect my wines that are in their carboys? Should I cover them? My wines are a raspberry/strawberry, raspberry/pear and a pear. I also have Apfelwein, Drunken Emu's Mississippi River Water and Skeeter Pee. Just curious if they need covered.

I know the temp of my hard drinks but what temp is good for actual wine to ferment at? The cans don't say any certain temp in particular. They are currently in a 70-74 degree area.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Although wine doesn't skunk, light can damage it.

Fermentation temperature depends on the yeast, just like for beer. But something like Red Star's Montrache can handle temperatures as high as 95F

Cover them, or store them in a dark place. Mine are in a hallway on the way to the garage/laundry area, well out of any direct lighting and I have had no problems
