Hi all!

sorry this is my first time posting. I purchased a Scoby from a local brewing company a week ago and received it today. It has an ice pack with it that’s now obviously melted.
It’s been unrefrigerated for a week - am I wasting time if I try to use it or will it be ok?

Room temp is good. I only put mine in the fridge after bottling. Happy brewing. Ginger is my fav.

Room temp is fine, and I would argue anything up to around 95-100F (~human body temp) would be just fine without any detrimental effects. I would only be concerned if if sat in a mailbox in the hot sun for a day or two, or if the SCOBY was too cold.
