Trying something new this year, Pumpkin Milk Stout. I'm going for a sweeter fuller stout. Any feed back or suggestions are always welcome. :mug:

7.5lbs 2 Row
1lb Flaked Oats
1lb Black Patent
0.5 Crystal 60
5lbs of Pumpkin

0.75oz Magnum 60 mins
0.5oz East Kent Goldings 30 mins
1lb Lactose 15 min
1TB Ground Cinnamon 5 mins
1.5 tsp Nutmeg 5 mins
1.5 tsp ginger 5 mins
1 tsp allspice 5 mins
0.5 tsp ground clove 5 mins

Wyeast 1056 with starter.

2 Vanilla Beans split in secondary and spice addition if needed.

I've thought about just cutting the pumpkin completely adding a pound of 2 row, since the pumpkin just really adds very little to the beer and most people identify the beer for its spice and not actual pumpkin. I just feel guilty calling it a pumpkin stout with no actual pumpkin involved.

I like this idea, I think I'm going to use the deception Cream Stout as a base and use the punkin ale spice and pumpkin regimen and see how it turns out.
