So I have decided to attempt an all grain pumpkin ale for the season. After much research I really do not want the mess/disaster of using actual pumpkin (real or canned) it doesn't look to me as if it adds enough to the finished product to warrant the headache. My question is, what would be the proper combination of spices to give me the pumpkin ale taste without the pumpkin ?
Here is what I was going to use in a 5 gallon batch. Any suggestions ?

2.50 tsp
Cinnamon (Boil 10.0 mins)
1.50 tsp
all spice (Boil 10.0 mins)
1.50 tsp
nutmeg (Boil 10.0 mins)

Pumpkin pie spice... it already has all of that in it about 1.5 tbs is what I put in the 5gal batch I just made

Yeah, a lot of commercial pumpkin beers don't actually have pumpkin in them just the spice. I used real pumpkin in mine it does contribute some color but I don't know that it adds much else. The flavor people associate with a pumpkin beer comes from the spices.
