I was transfering a perfect west coast pale ale in my carboy for clearing yesterday and some hops clogged my syphon. I pumped a few times before I realised that i was pumping air into the carboy and saw the bubbles come out of my tube. Did I just oxydise my beer?

Yes, but don't worry about it. If you're really worried, carbonate soon and throw a party. Seriously though, don't worry.

I doubt a couple pumps on the auto-siphon will lead to enough off flavors that will make your beer taste bad. I wouldn't worry about it. But like I said, throw a party in a few weeks if you're worried.

You totally oxidized it. No chance of saving. Please send to me for immediate disposal.

Seriously though, it'll be fine.

Summertime is right around the corner, i'll let it clear a few more dayz and throw an amazing party. You guys comin'?
