propane regulator issues.

So during my brew weekend I was having issues with my temps. I have a Hurricane Burner with what I am guessing is an automatic pressure regulator. I did some basic trouble shooting and think I need to replace the regulator.

So, I thought I would see if anyone has any suggestions or information that I should consider before I purchase a new one.

What are the issues you are having specifically? That will help diagnose.

The regulator was freezing up after about 5 minutes. I would need to hit it with a hammer to keep the propane flowing. I ended up getting a 20 psi off amazon for about 30 bucks; it works great.

There is nothing like smacking a live propane bottle with a hammer, especially when there is a flame near by...
