Hi all,

Alright, so I'm not the most handiest guy around. Maybe this is an easy one.

I'm trying to do this: http://www.ipass.net/mpdixon/Homebrew/MashTun.html

Specifically, I'm trying to convert a rectangular 10 gallon Rubbermaid cooler into a mash tun. I've got the drain pulled out from the old cooler (which was kinda hard to do!), and am now staring at the hole where it used to be, and where I want my spigot to go.

My problem is, the threaded inlet tube of my spigot is not long enough to go through the wall of the cooler, so I can't fasten it with my little plastic nut on the interior side.

What's the easiest way to get around this problem?

I used some marine two-part epoxy when faced with the same problem. I applied the epoxy to the inside of the hole, slid the spigot in from the outside and smoothed the epoxy out. Since I use the Very Large Grain Bag instead of a manifold

, I didn't bother with any internal piping.
