My beers typically have no issue carbing up, in fact, if anything some are over-carbed.

I bottled a Pliny clone today, I took a guesstimate that I had 4.5 gallons in my carboy, which turned out to be dead on.

Used carb calculator and used 3.3oz of priming sugar, added just enough water to dilute it. Boiled for 10 minutes, then dumped into bucket and racked beer onto it, a gently stirred.

Sometimes I notice after bottling, that there is concentrated sugar on the bottom of the bucket.

Am I not diluting the solution enough? I'm not overly concerned, as I think enough sugar made it into the bottles.

Adding just enough water to make a syrup isn't enough. I boil 2C of water for a few minutes. then stir in the weighed amount of priming sugar till the water goes clear again. Remove from heat & cover to cool down a bit. then add to rising column of beer in bottling bucket. That should fix it.
