priming sugar question

I primed my beer with priming sugar that came with the kit. did i ruin it by not letting it cool down before adding it to the 5 gallons of beer? ive read some forums saying it needs to cool. i let it sit for about 30 seconds and then added it then stirred in very gently. what problems would this cause if any?

It's fine. The small amount of hot liquid will not affect the five gallons of beer you added it to.

I toss it in hot sometimes too. Nothing to worry about.
