Priming sugar amount?

I'm bottling a belgian and it's supposed to be close to a Duval. I've heard 5oz is to much. What would be a good amount then?
 
Is this a 5 gallon batch? If so, I always use 5oz but I like well carbonated beer and dont care so much what the style appropriate carb level is. I found by trial that when I follow the recomended levels I usually wish I had used more. So I do!
 
5 gal. I usually use 5oz...I've heard varying opinions. Think ill stick with what works for this batch. Thanks for the reply!
