I brewed 10 gallons of german strong ale. 1.067 (SG). Chilled to 69 degrees into 2 glass 6.5 gallon carboys. Then pumped medical grade oxygen into it, dry hopped,& Pitched smack packs (1007 German ale)..... I can back the next day and it was OLD FAITHFUL of hops and yeast!!!!!! What in the world went wrong?!?!???

I used a LB of carapils and a LB of flakes oats... Boil volume was 13 gallons..... It's the only thing I can think of.. Thoughts and or tips????

I would guess that you did nothing wrong. I use 6 gallon better bottles and fill them with just over 5 gallons and get blow off on more than half of my brews.

Tip: Start EVERY fermentation with a blow off tube set up.

Your airlock clogged and blew the top. Sanitize and install a blow off tube.
