Just curious if anyone has a good set of instructions, possibly with some sort of graphics/pics, on how to properly pour a bottle conditioned beer without getting all the yeast sediment in the glass with the beer?

Giving my groomsmen some bar glasses and other items, which will also include some of my beer, for my upcoming weeding, so I'm looking for a simple, straight to the point, how-to that I could print up and stick in the bag along with the beer.

Anyone have anything? I did a few searches but couldn't find much, I'm thinking of just typing one up, but thought I'd check if anyone has any how-to's with pics to help out.

PM me you e-mail and I will send you the "Homebrew Instructions" I give out any time I give some one a 12 pack of my beer. You can modify them however you see fit, but this form seems to work well for most people.

PM sent. Thank you!

Im starting to care less about this. I bought a 24 oz bottle of sierra nevada pale ale, poured half the bottle, then poured the second half with a lot of the yeast and couldn't taste any difference between the two glasses. Ive noticed a few other bottle conditioned beers it doesn't seem to change the flavor for me.

I'll agree with you there, however this "recievers" of these beers pretty much only get bottle conditioned brews when they are at my house, so their stomachs aren't accustomed to the yeast, so it would probably be in their best interest to leave as much of it as possible in the bottle :D

Wow... that's pretty good gifts for helping you with your chores! I don't think I've ever received anything like that for helping a friend with their weeding... :D

Glad to hear it! I was trying to figure out what to give them, and the usual pocket watches, money clips, flasks, cuff links, etc... just didn't seem right as I know none of them would use them so why spend the money on them. However they all like my beer, and I actually was a little hesitant getting them glasses, bottle openers, and the homebrew as I was thinking it seemed like a last min idea and I was unsure about doing it, but it's good to hear the positive feed back, plus I also figured I would far prefer this gift over anything I have ever received from being in a wedding(I have a money clip and a pocket watch that have never been used :( ).

They are each getting 2x12oz bottles of Yoopers DFH 60 min clone, 2x12oz bottles of my last wheat brew, and 1x24oz bomber of my imperial stout, plus the glasses to drink them, bottle openers, and directions on pouring :D
