Please have a look at the diagram below and tell me if I am on the right track. I have been a long time extract brewer and want to build an "All Grain" brewery. I have the money and am trying to finalize the design.

I assume RHWH is a heat source, why have the thermocouple measure temp there instead of the inflow? Any particular reason why you decided not to direct fire the MLT?

I'd plumb a return to the HLT so that I could recirculate for a more even temperature.

Nifty design document. Eager to see a build thread. :mug:
 
Thank you for the comments. I actually measure the Mash temperature as the liquid enters the recirculation heater. See the diagram below.
