I was thinking of using my 6 gallon plastic bottling bucket as a secondary; good idea or bad idea?

I use my Ale Pail as a primary for ales.

For lagers, I use a better bottle for primary. I use better bottles as secondaries for both.

You can do it if need be. You just won't be able to watch it clear and see what's going on in there.

I have glass and a BB now. My experience with the BB has been great and I'd fully recommend them! In fact, I've got two more on the way. I thought I'd always use glass because I thought it was better but my opinion has changed.

I don't trust those buckets for longer term fermentation. I feel like oxygen can get in there
