Plastic Grain Sack Uses?

These things are piling up and I have no real use for them, but I hate to just pitch them until I know that they are truly useless.

I very carefully pull the string out rather cut the bag itself...

What do you do with them when they are empty?

I use them as feed sacks for the cattle.

The local co-op charges a dollar for each sack.

One of my LHBSs uses them as a curtain/door thing between the front room and the back area.


Depending on the sack, you could make a really cool lampshade out of that material.

for the woodstove. Store flower bulbs in the winter. Trash bags.

Give them to small children as play things. I find very small children in cribs in particular find them the be great toys.

+1 to garbage bag usage and +1 to using them as spent grain removal vessel!! Find me a man with a full garbage can, and I'll show you a man with no creativity!!
