Got this stainless 6mm disc for free a while ago to be used as a heat distribution plate on my burner cause my kettle is only about 30cm wide whereas my burner's outer ring is 35cm. It however needed a little scrap metal reinforcing because when I first heated it, it cupped about 6mm so contact with the pot wasn't exactly ideal.

Right angle stock for legs, aluminum for the skirt. Not exactly factory quality as the loominum is quite literally bent between my knee and the corner of a table.

Five mins at full blast, still more or less straight. Should shorten my boil time nicely to be able to use both burners. The inner one can do it by itself but the power ratio is something like 3kw inner, 9kw both.

Gonna have a brew day this weekend so going to see how it performs. The only thing I'm a bit worried though is stability. Should probly make a cradle on the legs to rest something heavy on to stabilise the rig.

Yeah, I was wondering about stability, too. 8 gallons of boiling wort isn't something you want to mess with tipping over.

Well the brew day did go without a hitch, at least as far as the burner was concerned, it did heat up considerably faster now however when boiling the wort the outer ring should be toned down because the sides of the pot heat up enough to get stuff burning on them. What comes to stability I must admit it is rather unnerving to prance around the crowded garage with what essentially is a bonfire on stilts so further bracing will be needed. I was thinking since I have the motorcycle lift table that weighs, with the bike lifted up, in the vicinity of 300+ kg I should probably utilise the mass and make some sort of a side facing strut that could then be bolted onto the side of the table. Should be plenty sturdy enough. While my pot is far from 8 gallons with a mere 13 liter boiling capacity that is still something I'd rather not have jumping on my lap when hot.
