Hi Everyone,
I’ve recently learned that, in addition to several other health benefits, beer is high in phosphorus. I found out that I’m a little low and docs say I can help by adding a little more to my diet. Pumpkin seeds & beer made the list! I’d like to know if there’s a class of beer, (ale, stout, porter, hefe, IPA, etc) that is highest?

Thanks, Just wanna follow the doc’s orders😉🍻

Most of the phosphorus content in beer comes from the malted barley, but water also can be factor on what actually makes it to a glass and what is bound up in trub. All else equal if one wants the biggest bang per pour wrt phosphorus, go with the styles that have the "highest grain content per glass" - eg: imperial stout 😁

Cheers!
