PEX hardware for brewing

Has anyone used this type of hardware for their equipment? It's about 1/3rd the price of copper and brass...

PEX Products - FAQ

PEX is great for many cold or non-steaming water supply applications. It's easier to work with vs copper or pvc and, as you see, is much cheaper than them. However, it's still stiffer than hosing and has a max temp of less than boiling.

I replumbed with Wirsbo PEX, which is rated to 170F (some only to 150). I'd love to use it too, but it shouldn't be used for anything other than putting water in to the HLT.

It is a joy to work with though. I was really sad when I finished plumbing.
