Permanent volume marks on kettles

I've added a link to a DIY project to add volume marks on the inside of SS kettles. It involves only white vinegar, salt, a Q Tip, and a 9 volt battery. I've been looking for a solution to this. My two 30G and 15G Mega Pots come with graduated marks but not my third kettle. Pretty cool.
