Hey All, Been busy moving but finally getting my brewery all setup again. Hoping to brew either this weekend or next.

I tasted a Peanut Butter Stout that I thought was amazing and would like to try and make one batch to bottle and one to keg. Below is a list of my ingredients and would like to get any suggestions:

Keep in mind I am making two batches because I do BIAB and this grain bill will be a real handful if I try to do it in my 15g kettle.

Grain:
24 Lbs Pale 2-Row
3 Lbs Chocolate Malt
2 Lbs Chocolate Wheat Malt
2 Lbs Caramel 120L
2 Lbs Black Patent Malt

Hops:
2 oz Nugget Pellets

Other:
8 oz Cacao Nibs
2 Lbs PB2 (powdered peanut butter) (Don't plan to use all of this)

Yeast:
Safale US-05

Here's what I was thinking for a 5.5 gallon batch:

-Cut all of the grain in half
-Hops .5 oz at 60 and .5 oz at 30 (or 15)

I'm really not sure where to use the PB2 or Cacao Nibs or the amounts, I've heard some people put some in at flame-out and some put it into secondary. I normally don't do secondary but I have plenty of equipment to use because my pipeline is nearly empty.

Thoughts on hops and anything special I should try to make this a go. I love stouts and honestly this will be the first true beer I am making because I know it's something I will like so I really want it to turn out well.

Any help is appreciated. Cheers!

BigDog. The kids bought me a Mr Beer 4 Christmas's ago. They all found out about monster. I am at 125 AG batches. Tried a couple times to do a Sweet Baby Jesus clone and never quite got there. All were really good but not quite there. Brewery has been a work in progress as funds allow. There are times when my wife says "damn you Mr Beer" Hell, right now I am on my 2nd pumkin ale and getting really for a Mad Elf clone. Anyway, I am 64 and I have a retirement plan. I plan on brewing a lot of beer. Not gonna wish you good luck. Luck has nothing to do with brewing good beer. Keep records because sometimes you screw up and it turns out awesome. Anyway, If I may share a pic? Brew on Dude. Cheers

The Brewery (beer factory) where I was employed part time contract brewed Purple Monkey Dishwasher(choco pb stout). Like most beers brewed there they used an extract that came in a big blue jug from some manufacturer in China(exaggeration) this was added post fermentation. I've read that it takes A lot of the the powdered PB to be effective, I know costco is selling it.

Cocoa powder was added both last 10 minutes and after primary.

Good luck
I probably did not help at all. let me know how this goes.

In the end I'm sure it will make beer. And beer can't be bad really. Well not that I've made yet anyway. Lol
