1 oz Simcoe 13% alpha at 60 min
.5 cascade 5.5% alpha 20 min
.5 cascade 15 min
.5 cascade 10 min
.5 fuggles 4% alpha 5 min
.5 fuggles flame off

dry hop in secondary with 1oz cascade

I used distilled water since I had quite a bit of extract in the recipe.

Mashed at 154 for 1 hr using 1.2 qt h20 per # of grains

Add the extract during the last 20 minutes- remove from flame then add back and continue with hop schedule.




This turned out really bitter in the beginning but with a few extra weeks in the fridge she mellowed out ( if you can say an IPA mellows) to be more enjoyable.
