Anyone ever heard of this?
Pat's Back Country Beer
They say it's basically concentrated beer that you "just add water" to when you're out hiking or whatever. They go out of their way to explain that this is not a typical extract; rather, they use less water from the start and just make a high gravity, malty, low volume beer that you then thin out.
The other aspect of this beer that interests me a bit is the carbonation. They have the typical carbonation using a cylinder, but they also have some kind of system involving tabs of citric acid and baking soda that you drop into water. That sounds like an interesting way to carbonate and I might do some research into doing that instead of bottle priming to see how it changes the flavor, etc.
