Hi guys,
Im brewing an all Maris Otter pale at the weekend and plan on using Chinook for the first time.
My Planned recipe is as follow:

6 kg Maris Otter
14grm Magnum at 60mins
14grm Centennial at 30mins
28grm of Chinook at 20 mins
10grm of Citra at 10 mins
10grm of Chinook at 5mins

14grm of Centennial dry hop for 5 days
14grm of Chinook dry hop for 5 days.

Ferment with us-05 for 2 weeks ish.

Do you guys think this recipe should work well?
I was also thinking of dropping the Magnum and replacing with Chinook for bittering?

Cheers for any input

Chinook works well as a SMaSH hop. Arrogant Bastard by Stone is straight chinook all the way through. Just so you know, Chinook has a lot of pine with it's citrus notes so make sure that's what you want in the beer. It's also usually very high alpha acid and seen more often in IPA's.

Maris Otter has a lot of biscuity nutty flavor and lends well to English pale ales and IPA's, which tend to have less bitterness than American IPA's. You might be better suited to using Challenger for bittering and either EKG or Fuggles for aroma and flavoring.

If you want an American pale ale without the strong bittering of an IPA, consider using centennial and cascade. They play well together.
