Hey folks,
After you tear out the door hardware on the Sanyo 4912 (or, I assume, most any fridge) you're left with bare off-white insulation. Is it a terrible idea to paint that? I saw one fella on here covered it in black duct tape, and I'm wondering if he knew something I didn't.

thanks.

I used a piece of sheet metal cut to size and caulked in.
Needs to be cleaned a little, but it looks sharp.

My guess is if it's left raw (i.e. not covered with something) you'll get bits of insulation falling off over time. Or maybe I'm just more oafish than others...
