Finally got around to brewing my Oktoberfest... I pitched a packet of OYL-107 about 48 hours ago... I had the temp at 56 degree but it showed no signs of activity in the airlock or no Krausen... Has anyone used this type? I raised the temp up to 58 to see if that would do anything but still nothing. Should I wait a few more days and then take a gravity sample?
I read this was a really slow fermenting strain, but wasn’t sure exactly how slow. Thanks all

How did you get ahold of this? It's only available to pro brewers. https://omegayeast.com/yeast/lagers/oktoberfest

Says it's a slow fermenter. Could just be taking it's time getting going.

Omega offers their whole catalog to homebrewers through a few channels.. used to be through NB, not sure is that’s the case.

This is their version of 2206.

You pitched one packet? No starter? How old was it?
