Just an update. Brewed the Blood Orange Hefe receipe that's posted here somewhere on 04.23. Couldn't find blood oranges so used the zest of 5 navel oranges, threw that in at 10min left in the boil. Primary for a week then used the "meat" of 6 navel oranges, secondary for a week.

Kegged on 05.07. Had a little get together for game 7 of the THUNDER series on 05.15 and served the orange hefe with an orange wedge. Won the game and the beer was GREAT! Nice orange nose and a nice orange finish. Was a little worried that i might have gone overboard with the orange but i really think it was the perfect amount. Nothing overpowering at all.

Not for everyone but a great beer for my friends and family. Will be brewing this one again. I have a feeling this one won't last long!

THUNDER UP!

Sounds awesome edie, I got a hefe I am serving for my fiancés graduation party. Hope it comes out good! I will be kegging it today.

We needed pictures though, pictures are everything.

My third batch was one like the OP’s. I however threw the orange zest in the oven at about 190 and added that to the secondary. It came out awesome.
