Yesterday, I brewed my HOUSE BEST ALE. It's a higher gravity (1.070) ale that's almost like an abbey dark style- kinda a hybrid I put together. I use Wyeast smack pack 1762 and always start it early. I'm an experienced homebrewer and know that higher gravity beers need more cells at pitching time to reduce lag time--hence the yeast starter. Yada, yada either way, 24hours later I still have no activity... Not overly worried, it'll start, but I hardly ever have a wort start later than 12hrs. Anyway, this will affect my flavor adversly, no? How bad is the damage? miniscule or large? Like I said, I'm well experienced, just have'nt had one take so long! Guess I'll start even earlier next time.. Any ideas on my flavor changes?:mug:

Don't worry about it.
As long as it does take of it may even taste better.
If you've not seen anything in a day or so then take a gravity reading to double check.
