I've done a rudimentery search and haven't found this info...

Once One-step is mixed with water, how long can it be stored?

I'm tired of making up a four cup or gallon batch just to sanitize when making a SG reading...

Star San is probably your solution. Mix up a batch, and keep some in a spray bottle for your thief/SG readings. Star San has a pretty long shelf life in solution.

I'm not sure what the shelf life is for One Step, but it can't be too long.

Thanks, I'll pick some up at my LHBS next time I'm there...

That seems like a much faster and easier way to do it!

I think the brain trust came up with no more than 5-7 days before One-step looses its effectiveness.

as stated, star-san made with distilled or RO water will last months. and a pH test will confirm its still active. if its pH is too high you can add some more star-san to re-activate it.

Very cool... Now I wish I still worked in a lab so I could get RO water and pH strips for free...
