I scored a half barrel keg on Craig's List this weekend for $25. These things are in such demand that the only reason I got it was that I happened to respond within 30 seconds of the post. I have a 16 gallon cone tank for the primary fermentor and a converted 48 quart Ice Cube cooler for the lauter tun. About all that is left to do is cut the top out of the keg and weld the spigot on, and build a tower and get the burners mounted. I'll be anxiously awaiting spring to try it out.

Have fun, and make sure you have a good, calibrated thermometer for your first batch - essential to controlling the mash temp.

(that was what I was missing my first time...)

PROST!
