one 5 gallon batch into two 5 gallon kegs?

I am currently brewing everything with a good friend. we are both looking into draft systems. is there any harm in taking a 5 gallon batch and splitting it between two kegs?

I've never done it, but I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as it's purged with co2 first. Would be just like having 5 gallons to start and drinking half.

Not at all. I often keg 1 gallon batches in 5 gallon kegs. It does waste some CO2.

I didn't think it would be a problem. I wasn't sure if this was something others had done successfully
