people would start "appreciating" (and by that i mean, lining up to purchase) classic beer styles if that's what everyone else on the facebook groups was doing. you can't assign superlatives to these styles the same way you can with an adjunct stout or a double dry hopped IPA. people are only lining up for a helles lager because it's being sold alongside a DANKJUICYHAZEBOMB. i'd love to see holy mountain (or monkish, or tree house, or tired hands, or whoever) release two lagers at once without a pale ale or bottle alongside them, and see how big of a line forms before opening.
having said that, i've been on the east coast all week and am looking forward to trying both of these when i get back.
