Trying to find out the outer diameter of the perlick 425ss to get a rubber hose to fill my growlers with as little foam as possible.

Thanks

Are those the ones that the tip screws on/off?

Maybe just take it to the hardware store and try several diameters until you get the fit you want?

Could do that except it took me forever to get it not to leak so I hate to mess with it.

I went the opposite way and got tubing to ram up the faucet. I have the 525ss (I'd imagine it's the same size as the 425, or close enough) and 7/16" OD tubing works great.

I would get the Bowie Bottler and Complement in the Vendor section.

I have the 525ss and tried using tubing a few times. It worked like 1/3 times, and the 2 times it didn't work, it made a giant mess. I was using serving pressure, which blew the tubing right off the tap and shot beer everywhere.

I tried 1/2" ID thermoplastic thinwall tubing from the LHBS. The 1/2" ID thermoplastic thickwall tubing from Northern Brewer didn't work...not flexible enough to stretch over the tap.

Bowie bottler. Used one this morning!

Either that, or there was a guy turning an adapter on the lathe that takes the place of the original 'snout'
