One of the very first beers I made was a Muntons Nut Brown Ale. I was thinking of doing another and adding;

Muntons Nut Brown Ale LME 4lbs
Plain Amber Malt DME 2.2 lbs
Gambrinus Honey Malt 1lb
Cascade Hops 2oz

Does this sound okay? Any additions or subtractions?

What was the original recipe, and what did you add to it? If you're adding the cascades, those aren't very comperable for brown ales and 2 oz is a lot. I would add in some british hops like fuggles or goldings (or their equivalents)

The original recipe called for 2.2 lbs of sugar, and just the LME Extract. I want to switch the sugar with DME and add some grains and extra hops at the end for aroma. How much hops would you suggest? .5 or 1 oz? Do the grains sound okay?
