Well i just discovered that the Hop climbing my barn was not as I was thinking a decorative hop but in fact a 3 years old Nugget plant, i have collected about 90 pounds of cones. I am very happy about this, should i dry it up first? Or can i use the fresh cones? Should i freeze it? I am a litle lost. I am used to use pellet hops not cones.

90 pounds is a nice pile 8).

Thank you for your answers.

You can use them "wet" or "fresh" use anywhere from 6-10 times the dryed weight. Whatever you decide to freeze make sure its dried out first, then use as normal.

Also if you find you have more than you can use I'd be happy to take some off your hands.

here is the dried result :) just for you Rex.

it gave me about 4 pounds of dried Nugget buds. My hands were all coverd in green/yellow resin with a very nice smell.

Also tried some in a beer i can't wait to brew something with it. I don't have anything to test the Acid alpha content or it's essence concentration. But we will see :rockin:
