OK, I wanna buy the Bayou classic 1440 and install a drain valve on it. For the life of me I cannot find what parts to buy for this.

Since the pot won't have a weld on it, I gotta drill a hole. Which valve and accessories should I buy once this is done? Also, how can any o-rings or anything withstand the heat of my burner since it will be so low on the pot itself?

Here's a link to all the valves AHS offers:

It seems like the ones I see are ready to screw onto an NPT weld or something, mine will just have a hole

AustinHomebrew's 24-5010 comes complete, ready to install, with built-in bulkhead and a recessed oring groove. Just take it out of the package and install it. The oring is high temp silicone.

I have the 1440 for $69 and I'll install a "true" weldless bulkhead, 2pc ball valve, hose barb and a short length of silicone tubing for $45. Be aware that weldless bulkheads (as they are sometimes horribly misnamed in the industry) are not all created equal.

If you're intent on installing it yourself, the bulkhead by itself is https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/truebulkheadelbarb.htm

I'd suggest this.

+1 for letting Bobby handle it. His fittings are top-notch and his prices are extremely fair.

I'm trying to order this installed like you said but your bulkhead is out of stock? Will they be back in stock soon?
