Hi all,
I've been on this forum for a couple months and it has helped IMMENSELY. I've learned a lot from a combination of reading this forum and brewing experience, although I've never run across this thread.
So far I've brewed an APA, black IPA, raspberry golden Belgian, and a red ale. All have turned out great (and all were extract brews). I have not used a hydrometer on any of these beers however I let them sit in primary for at least two weeks and usually bottle after (at minimum) 4 weeks from brew date.
Eventually I'll transition to AG where I know a hydrometer is more important but do I need to be using one with extract brews?
Thanks
