hello Driver. I don't know what part of Ph. your in, but if you go see Jeff at Brewers connection, he'll help you out. Real good bunch of guys there. His place is on the south side of university between maclintock and Scottsdale rd. Web @ brewersconnection.com

Welcome to the forum. The two places I go to are Brewer's Connection in Tempe and Homebrew Depot in Mesa (they just moved though). Both offer great products and service.

thx for the welcome... live out in the far west valley.. going to check out the store What Ale's Ya tomorrow its on bell and 65 ave

Just got back from What Ale's Ya with all of my supplies........

but have to wait until this weekend to start the brew....

first brew will be... Wizenbier

Got to get what the wife likes:) :)

Hey drivertd welcome to the forum. I usually go up to what ales ya to get my stuff. Those guys are pretty cool there. Are you doing extract or AG?

this will be the very first brew that i have done ....

extract, it was part of the kit

I haven't been to What Ale's Ya yet, I should go check it out since you guys say it's a good place.

Welcome to the forum Tom. If you're interested, we have brewouts throughout the valley. The last one was on New Year's Day out in Buckeye. Chuck or Norm at What Ales Ya can let you know of most of the ones happening. You can see pictures of past brewouts on his wall.

Good luck with your brew this weekend,
Wild

just got done bottling my first batch...... everything came out great.....

one question what do you do with all the trub?

now its time to start a second batch........

looks like i will be headed to lhbs soon

Hey Tom,
Welcome to the wonderful world of brewing. I live in Goodyear and work in the north valley so I always go to What Ales Ya. Chuck is extremely helpful and not pushy. He will even tell you to get things elsewhere if they are cheaper than him. For example, when first starting out, he told me to go to another store further west on Bell (can't think of the name of it) to buy my brew kettle. I paid $15 for it. His cost - $45. I have been going back to him ever since for the 5 years I have been brewing.
Any other questions, just ask. I'll help all I can. Brian

I wish you the best on buying a truck. I had thought about doing that a few years back. I figured I would drive for someone else. Let them take care of the headaches. I wouldnt mind buying a truck and flatbed later on and doing something local in a few years.
